About
Dr. Glenn Larner is a senior clinical psychologist, family therapist, teacher and supervisor with over 40 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Glenn has an extensive background in systemic family therapy besides utilizing knowledge and skills from clinical psychology, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy and mindfulness approaches. His approach to therapy is relational, integrative and collaborative. Working from an ethic of hospitality this recognizes the therapist's responsibility to be effective while giving priority to the therapeutic relationship and enhancing a person’s own narrative voice.
In his spare time Glenn enjoys time with his family, travel, bushwalking, reading literature and philosophy, art cinema and listening to music, especially contemporary jazz. He also enjoys playing electric and double bass in jazz, blues, and folk-rock settings.
